Happy Accident

I love it when things just fall into place. Kind of like how these four random photos I've pinned over the last few days actually make so much crazy sense together. I noticed the string of common colors after reading this great Rookie article by Sarah Sophie Flicker on creative vision. How serendipitous..



Did you know that those objects in the bottom left picture are actually painted-copper cuffs from Céline's Spring 2014 collection? Amazing, right? I thought they were old paint cans at first glance. Go team Philo.

I love the concept behind this film for Jalouse magazine (okay, so maybe I'm just a little nostalgic for France). Watch and dream.

Drift Away

Four more days and I'll be back in beautiful California! It's so dreary in the Northwest right now that I can't help but dream about palm trees and bright colors. Vivid ikat prints and geometrical patterns are really inspiring me right now, though I look over at my closet and it is both monochromatic and grayscale. I suppose I'm still stuck in the Parisian mindset. Although this rain isn't helping much either...

Thunder Perfect Prada

This short film, an ad campaign for Prada's fragrance, has been a favorite of mine for some time, due to its stunning visuals (Daria included, of course), inspiring poetic narration, and subdued yet powerful mood. There is something irresistible about it. Although it was released in 2005, the video still makes me giddy each time I watch it.
