I've been on the hunt for a classic, quality denim jacket for.. well, forever. I'm petite, so I've never been able to find one at a thrift store that doesn't make me look like I came out of the '80s (not a bad look, just not what I'm going for). You can imagine my excitement when I stumbled across this treasure in J.Crew a few weeks ago. How great is their petite sizing?? While it's not exactly cheap, I just couldn't pass up such a perfect staple.
February Laundry List

Bewitched, Bewitched
I think the way we connect with fashion is similar to the way we're all drawn to certain paintings. After all, fashion is art. Critics and editors pick apart collections each season to pinpoint specific elements that did and didn't work, but ultimately, our feelings about clothes are much simpler. Simple yet, conversely, inexplicable.
Walking through a gallery, we each tend to gravitate towards particular pieces of art, often subconsciously. Sometimes, there's this weird moment where something stirs inside us and everything else just fades into the background. I can't speak for anyone else, but I have a similar experience with clothes. Like, when I first saw this Dries collection, I literally got shivers. It's a feeling you can't fully articulate, but that's the beauty of it. You're bewitched (cue theme song), and that's enough. Well, maybe not for Style.com writers, but for personal fangirling purposes.. it's enough.
That said, I had to make a list of some of the things that made the collection so rad. (Side note: I know it's the middle of the NYFW, and everyone is talking about FALL FALL FALL, but it's not even mid-February. So let's just take a deep breath and soak up some in-season inspiration for a minute, k?)
